Thanks for making this! I enjoyed this complex intriguing game until I hit a plateau where I couldn't really improve on the 3 spirits dice start. A few observations:
* Vertical strategies are much better supported than horizontal.
* FBI box and multi-million unlock depend on stacking up many, many x2 and x 1.5 area effects. Still, there are enough ways to get there that it's an interesting set of late game strategies instead of just rote.
* Take a tip from StS - there are way too many one-node chokepoints in the roguelite map.
* Should always be one last store before FBI, otherwise money is useless in the final nodes.
* The difficulty slider doesn't seem to give any rewards or unlocks. Maybe it could give a post-scoring multiplier to money you get from the FBI box so you can afford more expensive dice sets.
* There are dice sets much more expensive but weaker than 3 x spirits. Need a little rebalance I think.
I love these kind of games, it's keeping me hooked for days now!
the thing is, there's something I'm not getting in the FBI box. I don't really know why I reached this score. Specifically, I don't understand why the Ultimate stick gives more score than other dices if I place it in the special slot (redacted). If I remove it from there, the score drops to 262k from almost 3M. What am I missing? What does that slot do? This is the first time I get the score to actually go up using the special slot, it always went down if I placed a die in it
OMG I LOVE THIS GAME ITS SO FUN! literally my only problem is it's so hard to make enough money to unlock the next dice set in the main menu (I've played 5x and only got 3k) and sometimes it wants temporary dice right after a shop where they don't carry over but the base game is sooo good and the art and vibes are immaculate! I'm very much looking forward to the steam version!
I don't usually like these kinds of games but this one was super fun, I enjoyed every moment of it. Was sad when the end came, lol. Are there plans to make the runs longer? If so I can't wait.
We are still working on the next version (steam demo). I think the runs are planned to stay roughly the same length, but in this version there is an endless mode, although it isn't very well balanced haha.

Awesome game! I love these kinds of games and will definitely buy this when it comes to Steam. Only problem I had was that my dices scaled faster than the rent so in endless mode I couldn't lose even if I wanted to. I quit when I had 2b.
It changes the dialogue, but both used to be better back when the FBI was the FBI doing a money laundering investigation instead of whatever this beetle stuff is.
yea well I think 145 (accidentally put 125) rolls is able to get me what I wanted, I got this by stacking /0 on start pet so for the 2 round beforehand I did 6 divide by zero, but somehow I still lost, for some reason divide by zero don;t work in the last thing because I had 2.5k and if the divided by zero worked it will push my score past 6k. but still VERY fun and make me feel like dicy (misspell and auto-correct being dumb) dungeon or other fun games I've seen
This game is really fun and I wish the normal gamemode could be longer! Also nice to see you respond to most of the comments here, you're helpfull developers :)
Because the game doesnt pressure you for time, I feel like there is huge variability in how long a run takes for people so I found that a little hard to balance, I was aiming for about 30-40 mins to complete a run, but I might change it in the future :p

I'm sorry that you have lost so many saves, it has happened to a few other people as well and it might be related to either a bug or clearing history in your browser (assuming you are using the web build).
The good news is we are working hard on making the next update, and that will hopefully fix this issue, but for now if you want to ensure your save persists you should play the downloaded version.

It's probably something on my end, but if the save could somehow be tied to your account, that would be excellent. I may try downloading it which would create a local save file.
Super fun game though Poy's infinite exponential scaling quickly goes infinite provided you have enough dogs. The combination of the sticky box relic allowing me to keep temporary dice along with fetch dice allows for infinite dogs and constellations animal rerolls allows for infinite rerolls as well to get whatever box you want. This combo is definitely too strong to make endless challenging but due to the high setup not that relevant for the normal run. I decided to make a max score box on day 100 to show what might be the highest score so far based on the other comments though this build scales infinitely so max score is kinda arbitrary.
Some interesting things I noticed once the length of the number is longer than the box itself the best box pop up is no longer able to show the full number making it no longer effective so might want to fix this to be able to keep track of it.
Furthermore the money graph really breaks under these exponential scaling and i noticed all the numbers on the left are the same likely due to some weird scaling due to the massive discrepancies between the sell values.
Incase anyone is curious these are my stats overall really fun game though endless is a bit strange since unless you have infinite scaling its difficult to progress far but if you do have infinite scaling through Poy its trivial to go as long as you want between the rapid outscaling as well as relics like my 5% of total money bonus that is already way higher than rent. Looking forward to seeing this game develop more but its already super fun and love the aesthetic of it.

Web games stores the game progression with your cookies, which are often cleaned up when not used in a while (or sometimes just randomly).

same person, diff account; that's the account I use on my school PC </3 I have it downloaded on my home pc but I'm not at home all the time, unfortunately.
Super game spend a lot of time testing stuff here is my record in one run in endless (probably can do better with bigger box, limit is 4 so i haven't tried the others)
additionally, some things that I personally think should be added:
an option to make a confirmation popup after trying to do a reroll
a clear box option
the ability to reroll prizes/shops at a cost
more FBI investigations every 25 days
just like how you can buy starting-dice sets, maybe starting boxes as well? since you only get one of the eggs per run, the FBI box could also serve as the priciest
nerf poy to the ground
nerf divide-by-zero errors to the ground
perhaps a way to occasionally buff one face on one single die by increasing its value by 1 or something
some kind of way to encourage players to meet a customer's wants even after they don't need dice/stickers anymore, for example lili turns a random non-legendary face into a 2-sardine face
the ability to sell boxes
very long list, don't expect any of them to be added, just ideas of mine

In endless i think fbi (or other boss clients) repeating occasionally would be a good idea that we wanted to implement, but havent got around to yet.
In the next patch a lot of the box stuff is going to change, you won't own and have to level boxes, they will be tied to clients and relics will be separate rewards.
Rerolling dice/clients/relics will probably be available through relics in the next patch
Yeh the poy and Glitch combo is definitely getting nerfed haha.
There are a few ways to increase the base value of dice (sun is one atm, but there are a lot more on the next patch)
Clients are also changing a bit, they will not have as many "give me x type of dice" requests, and are more things like "each dice must have atleast 1 adjacent empty slot", and might punish you if you ignore then too much ;).

The redacted slot does something pretty special indeed (we are going to add more words in its description for the steam version)
Its reduce the value of all the other dice a little bit. It also gets 2x the base value of the dice around it, in a diamond shape!!

Nvm it took a lot of figuring out strategy but I worked out how to make enough money to unlock menu items!

I got way too many dice from birds, berries, dogs, sticks and BIG HONKING STICKs to the point that the game is telling me that I have too many dice

Yeh i think that is a glitch in the current version, but it should be fixed in the next version (coming soon !!!)

I love this game but my data has been reset 3 times now ._. I don't think I should have to ask to have my save from yesterday persist to today...

Is it the tooltip font that is too small or is it somewhere else thats giving you trouble?
There is an option in the settings menu to make the tooltip bigger if that helps :)
